Proverbs 箴 言 27:1-22
1 Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth.
2 Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; someone else, and not your own lips.
3 Stone is heavy and sand a burden, but provocation by a fool is heavier than both.
4 Anger is cruel and fury overwhelming, but who can stand before jealousy?
5 Better is open rebuke than hidden love.
6 Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.
7 He who is full loathes honey, but to the hungry even what is bitter tastes sweet.
8 Like a bird that strays from its nest is a man who strays from his home.
9 Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of one's friend springs from his earnest counsel.
10 Do not forsake your friend and the friend of your father, and do not go to your brother's house when disaster strikes you- better a neighbor nearby than a brother far away.
11 Be wise, my son, and bring joy to my heart; then I can answer anyone who treats me with contempt.
12 The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and suffer for it.
13 Take the garment of one who puts up security for a stranger; hold it in pledge if he does it for a wayward woman.
14 If a man loudly blesses his neighbor early in the morning, it will be taken as a curse.
15 A quarrelsome wife is like a constant dripping on a rainy day;
16 restraining her is like restraining the wind or grasping oil with the hand.
17 As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
18 He who tends a fig tree will eat its fruit, and he who looks after his master will be honored.
19 As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man.
20 Death and Destruction are never satisfied, and neither are the eyes of man.
21 The crucible for silver and the furnace for gold, but man is tested by the praise he receives.
22 Though you grind a fool in a mortar, grinding him like grain with a pestle, you will not remove his folly from him.
1 不 要 為 明 日 自 誇 ， 因 為 一 日 要 生 何 事 ， 你 尚 且 不 能 知 道 。
2 要 別 人 誇 獎 你 ， 不 可 用 口 自 誇 ； 等 外 人 稱 讚 你 ， 不 可 用 嘴 自 稱 。
3 石 頭 重 ， 沙 土 沉 ， 愚 妄 人 的 惱 怒 比 這 兩 樣 更 重 。
4 忿 怒 為 殘 忍 ， 怒 氣 為 狂 瀾 ， 惟 有 嫉 妒 ， 誰 能 敵 得 住 呢 ？
5 當 面 的 責 備 強 如 背 地 的 愛 情 。
6 朋 友 加 的 傷 痕 出 於 忠 誠 ； 仇 敵 連 連 親 嘴 卻 是 多 餘 。
7 人 吃 飽 了 ， 厭 惡 蜂 房 的 蜜 ； 人 飢 餓 了 ， 一 切 苦 物 都 覺 甘 甜 。
8 人 離 本 處 飄 流 ， 好 像 雀 鳥 離 窩 遊 飛 。
9 膏 油 與 香 料 使 人 心 喜 悅 ； 朋 友 誠 實 的 勸 教 也 是 如 此 甘 美 。
10 你 的 朋 友 和 父 親 的 朋 友 ， 你 都 不 可 離 棄 。 你 遭 難 的 日 子 ， 不 要 上 弟 兄 的 家 去 ； 相 近 的 鄰 舍 強 如 遠 方 的 弟 兄 。
11 我 兒 ， 你 要 作 智 慧 人 ， 好 叫 我 的 心 歡 喜 ， 使 我 可 以 回 答 那 譏 誚 我 的 人 。
12 通 達 人 見 禍 藏 躲 ； 愚 蒙 人 前 往 受 害 。
13 誰 為 生 人 作 保 ， 就 拿 誰 的 衣 服 ； 誰 為 外 女 作 保 ， 誰 就 承 當 。
14 清 晨 起 來 ， 大 聲 給 朋 友 祝 福 的 ， 就 算 是 咒 詛 他 。
15 大 雨 之 日 連 連 滴 漏 ， 和 爭 吵 的 婦 人 一 樣 ；
16 想 攔 阻 他 的 ， 便 是 攔 阻 風 ， 也 是 右 手 抓 油 。
17 鐵 磨 鐵 ， 磨 出 刃 來 ； 朋 友 相 感 （ 原 文 是 磨 朋 友 的 臉 ） 也 是 如 此 。
18 看 守 無 花 果 樹 的 ， 必 吃 樹 上 的 果 子 ； 敬 奉 主 人 的 ， 必 得 尊 榮 。
19 水 中 照 臉 ， 彼 此 相 符 ； 人 與 人 ， 心 也 相 對 。
20 陰 間 和 滅 亡 永 不 滿 足 ； 人 的 眼 目 也 是 如 此 。
21 鼎 為 煉 銀 ， 爐 為 煉 金 ， 人 的 稱 讚 也 試 煉 人 。
22 你 雖 用 杵 將 愚 妄 人 與 打 碎 的 麥 子 一 同 搗 在 臼 中 ， 他 的 愚 妄 還 是 離 不 了 他 。

Mark 馬 可 福 音 9:33-37
33 They came to Capernaum. When he was in the house, he asked them, "What were you arguing about on the road?"
34 But they kept quiet because on the way they had argued about who was the greatest.
35 Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, "If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all."
36 He took a little child and had him stand among them. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,
37 "Whoever welcomes one of these little children in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me does not welcome me but the one who sent me."
33 他 們 來 到 迦 百 農 ， 耶 穌 在 屋 裡 問 門 徒 說 ： 你 們 在 路 上 議 論 的 是 甚 麼 ？
34 門 徒 不 作 聲 ， 因 為 他 們 在 路 上 彼 此 爭 論 誰 為 大 。
35 耶 穌 坐 下 ， 叫 十 二 個 門 徒 來 ， 說 ： 若 有 人 願 意 作 首 先 的 ， 他 必 作 眾 人 末 後 的 ， 作 眾 人 的 用 人 。
36 於 是 領 過 一 個 小 孩 子 來 ， 叫 他 站 在 門 徒 中 間 ， 又 抱 起 他 來 ， 對 他 們 說 ：
37 凡 為 我 名 接 待 一 個 像 這 小 孩 子 的 ， 就 是 接 待 我 ； 凡 接 待 我 的 ， 不 是 接 待 我 ， 乃 是 接 待 那 差 我 來 的 。

John 約 翰 福 音 5:39-47
39 You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me,
40 yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
41 "I do not accept praise from men,
42 but I know you. I know that you do not have the love of God in your hearts.
43 I have come in my Father's name, and you do not accept me; but if someone else comes in his own name, you will accept him.
44 How can you believe if you accept praise from one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from the only God?
45 "But do not think I will accuse you before the Father. Your accuser is Moses, on whom your hopes are set.
46 If you believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me.
47 But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?"
39 你 們 查 考 聖 經 （ 或 作 ： 應 當 查 考 聖 經 ） ， 因 你 們 以 為 內 中 有 永 生 ； 給 我 作 見 證 的 就 是 這 經 。
40 然 而 ， 你 們 不 肯 到 我 這 裡 來 得 生 命 。
41 我 不 受 從 人 來 的 榮 耀 。
42 但 我 知 道 ， 你 們 心 裡 沒 有 上 帝 的 愛 。
43 我 奉 我 父 的 名 來 ， 你 們 並 不 接 待 我 ； 若 有 別 人 奉 自 己 的 名 來 ， 你 們 倒 要 接 待 他 。
44 你 們 互 相 受 榮 耀 ， 卻 不 求 從 獨 一 之 上 帝 來 的 榮 耀 ， 怎 能 信 我 呢 ？
45 不 要 想 我 在 父 面 前 要 告 你 們 ； 有 一 位 告 你 們 的 ， 就 是 你 們 所 仰 賴 的 摩 西 。
46 你 們 如 果 信 摩 西 ， 也 必 信 我 ， 因 為 他 書 上 有 指 著 我 寫 的 話 。
47 你 們 若 不 信 他 的 書 ， 怎 能 信 我 的 話 呢 ？

2 Corinthians 歌 林 多 後 書 10:1-18
1 By the meekness and gentleness of Christ, I appeal to you-I, Paul, who am "timid" when face to face with you, but "bold" when away!
2 I beg you that when I come I may not have to be as bold as I expect to be toward some people who think that we live by the standards of this world.
3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
6 And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.
7 You are looking only on the surface of things. If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should consider again that we belong to Christ just as much as he.
8 For even if I boast somewhat freely about the authority the Lord gave us for building you up rather than pulling you down, I will not be ashamed of it.
9 I do not want to seem to be trying to frighten you with my letters.
10 For some say, "His letters are weighty and forceful, but in person he is unimpressive and his speaking amounts to nothing."
11 Such people should realize that what we are in our letters when we are absent, we will be in our actions when we are present.
12 We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise.
13 We, however, will not boast beyond proper limits, but will confine our boasting to the field God has assigned to us, a field that reaches even to you.
14 We are not going too far in our boasting, as would be the case if we had not come to you, for we did get as far as you with the gospel of Christ.
15 Neither do we go beyond our limits by boasting of work done by others. Our hope is that, as your faith continues to grow, our area of activity among you will greatly expand,
16 so that we can preach the gospel in the regions beyond you. For we do not want to boast about work already done in another man's territory.
17 But, "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."
18 For it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.
1 我 保 羅 ， 就 是 與 你 們 見 面 的 時 候 是 謙 卑 的 ， 不 在 你 們 那 裡 的 時 候 向 你 們 是 勇 敢 的 ， 如 今 親 自 藉 著 基 督 的 溫 柔 、 和 平 勸 你 們 。
2 有 人 以 為 我 是 憑 著 血 氣 行 事 ， 我 也 以 為 必 須 用 勇 敢 待 這 等 人 ； 求 你 們 不 要 叫 我 在 你 們 那 裡 的 時 候 ， 有 這 樣 的 勇 敢 。
3 因 為 我 們 雖 然 在 血 氣 中 行 事 ， 卻 不 憑 著 血 氣 爭 戰 。
4 我 們 爭 戰 的 兵 器 本 不 是 屬 血 氣 的 ， 乃 是 在 上 帝 面 前 有 能 力 ， 可 以 攻 破 堅 固 的 營 壘 ，
5 將 各 樣 的 計 謀 ， 各 樣 攔 阻 人 認 識 上 帝 的 那 些 自 高 之 事 ， 一 概 攻 破 了 ， 又 將 人 所 有 的 心 意 奪 回 ， 使 他 都 順 服 基 督 。
6 並 且 我 已 經 預 備 好 了 ， 等 你 們 十 分 順 服 的 時 候 ， 要 責 罰 那 一 切 不 順 服 的 人 。
7 你 們 是 看 眼 前 的 麼 ？ 倘 若 有 人 自 信 是 屬 基 督 的 ， 他 要 再 想 想 ， 他 如 何 屬 基 督 ， 我 們 也 是 如 何 屬 基 督 的 。
8 主 賜 給 我 們 權 柄 ， 是 要 造 就 你 們 ， 並 不 是 要 敗 壞 你 們 ； 我 就 是 為 這 權 柄 稍 微 誇 口 ， 也 不 至 於 慚 愧 。
9 我 說 這 話 ， 免 得 你 們 以 為 我 寫 信 是 要 威 嚇 你 們 ；
10 因 為 有 人 說 ： 他 的 信 又 沉 重 又 利 害 ， 及 至 見 面 ， 卻 是 氣 貌 不 揚 ， 言 語 粗 俗 的 。
11 這 等 人 當 想 ， 我 們 不 在 那 裡 的 時 候 ， 信 上 的 言 語 如 何 ， 見 面 的 時 候 ， 行 事 也 必 如 何 。
12 因 為 我 們 不 敢 將 自 己 和 那 自 薦 的 人 同 列 相 比 。 他 們 用 自 己 度 量 自 己 ， 用 自 己 比 較 自 己 ， 乃 是 不 通 達 的 。
13 我 們 不 願 意 分 外 誇 口 ， 只 要 照 上 帝 所 量 給 我 們 的 界 限 搆 到 你 們 那 裡 。
14 我 們 並 非 過 了 自 己 的 界 限 ， 好 像 搆 不 到 你 們 那 裡 ； 因 為 我 們 早 到 你 們 那 裡 ， 傳 了 基 督 的 福 音 。
15 我 們 不 仗 著 別 人 所 勞 碌 的 ， 分 外 誇 口 ； 但 指 望 你 們 信 心 增 長 的 時 候 ， 所 量 給 我 們 的 界 限 ， 就 可 以 因 著 你 們 更 加 開 展 ，
16 得 以 將 福 音 傳 到 你 們 以 外 的 地 方 ； 並 不 是 在 別 人 界 限 之 內 ， 藉 著 他 現 成 的 事 誇 口 。
17 但 誇 口 的 ， 當 指 著 主 誇 口 。
18 因 為 蒙 悅 納 的 ， 不 是 自 己 稱 許 的 ， 乃 是 主 所 稱 許 的 。
